Tattoos and HIV
There is a risk of HIV transmission while getting a tattoo if tattoo personnel do not use safe tattoo practices, such as sterilizing or disinfecting all instruments between customers. For that reason, the CDC (Center for Disease Control) recommends single-use instruments.
